Since the dawn of time, Photoshop has been the choice tool for graphic artists but these days, a lot more can be done directly within PowerPoint.
In this two minute tutorial, you’ll discover how you can add a mood enhancing vignette effect to photos.
It’s simple, quick and best of all, free!
What a great idea! Thanks for this.
I’d tried in vain to get PPT to create a decent vignette in the past, so this is ideal.
At work though, I still use PPT 2007, and there I get quite a hard inner edge to the vignette. Any tips to improve that?
It’s a good tip about holding down Shift to get a square, too. Another one is to place the photo’s centre on crosshairs made from guides, then draw the square from that centre by holding down Ctrl+Shift.
By way of reciprocation, you might also like this (unrelated) tip about showing a “custom” slide for each question you’re asked during a talk.
I’d be delighted if you’d like to leave a comment on my blog, and backlinks are always welcome too!
Again, thanks for sharing your great content.
