Update Procedure

How to Update ActivePresentation Designer from a Previous Version

Step 1: Save all PowerPoint work and close all PowerPoint windows.
Step 2: Uninstall ActivePresentation Designer*.
Step 3: Download the latest version using the button above.
Step 4: Install the new version.

*You may uninstall ActivePresentation Designer in one of two ways:

Windows Start Button

1. Click the Start button
2. Click All Programs
3. Select the ActivePresentation Designer group
4. Click Uninstall ActivePresentation Designer
5. Follow the on-screen instructions

Windows Control Panel

1. Open the Windows Control Panel (on most machines this is found under the Start/Programs list but refer to Windows Help if it is not)
2. Open Add or Remove Programs
3. Select ActivePresentation Designer and click Remove
4. Follow the on-screen instructions

• Any (error) message box displayed before Setup (or Uninstall) could read the command line parameters.
• Any message box displayed by [Code] support function MsgBox.

/DIR=”x:\dirname”

Overrides the default directory name displayed on the Select Destination Location wizard page. A fully qualified pathname must be specified. May include an “expand:” prefix which instructs Setup to expand any constants in the name. For example: ‘/DIR=expand:{pf}\My Program’ where {pf} is a pre-defined constant within the setup application which corresponds to the PROGRAMFILES environment variable.

/GROUP=”folder name”

Overrides the default folder name displayed on the Select Start Menu Folder wizard page. May include an “expand:” prefix, see ‘/DIR=’.

Pre-Pidded Install

This product does not currently support pre-pidded installations and all unique license credentials must be entered within the add-in via the PowerPoint User Interface.
